The Legacy of Troy Davis

Troy Davis’s execution last night made headlines across the world, and there are still a lot of questions and concerns about what took place in a prison in Jackson, Georgia at 11:00 pm yesterday. I’ve been reading a lot about it, and here’s some of the best of what I’ve seen so far…

An excellent quote from this article: “Whether the trial witnesses against [Troy Davis] were lying then or are lying now, by fighting against his requested relief Georgia is saying that its interest in the finality of its capital judgments is more important than the accuracy of its capital verdicts.”
